Engagment Ring Trends 2023

2023 is really bringing it all back, and better!

We have narrowed down this year’s trends into 5 statement styles which we believe will reign in 2023.

Each style carries its own weight and beauty, with there being an overall trend for stepping out of the cliché and indulging more in the influential world of design.

ONE
Rings with Coloured Stones

The world embodies a rainbow of coloured diamonds and gemstones, each with its own language and symbolism. Opting for a coloured stone as appose to a white diamond may be a favourable choice for many for several reasons. One being it is not the obvious choice amongst the overall population and therefore, having something different and unique will allow your ring to stand out against the crowd. In most cases, coloured gemstones are more cost effective, whilst diamonds seem to be increasing in price as time goes on. This is another reason why we believe this trend will progressively become more popular in 2023 and beyond.

TWO
Oval Cut Rings

Oval Cut Engagement Rings were a big hit in 2022, and we believe this trend will carry on into 2023. An oval is a classic and timeless diamond shape usually consisting of 58 facets, which create the ultimate sparkle.  The slender body of an oval cut diamond forms a beautiful, elongated shape that creates an illusion of size. An oval is versatile; therefore, it can stand beautifully alone or be paired with other stones across a range of different bands.

THREE
Plain Bands

There is nothing more beautiful and satisfying than a gorgeous big rock on your finger, sparkling as it sits high and mighty on a plain gold band. For many, having a plain band is more effective in ensuring the centre stone stands out against the rest of the ring. They are more prominently becoming the preferred alternative to diamond bands and it is for these reasons that we think plain bands are going to thrive and trend in 2023.

FOUR
Toi Et Moi

What could be more fit for the occasion than an Engagement Ring style that represents ‘you and me’.
The 'Toi Et Moi' style of engagement ring usually incorporates two types of gemstones nestled side by side on a band that connects the stones as it meets at the top. They could be a combination of different shaped diamonds, different shaped coloured gemstones, or a blend of both.

The two stones symbolise two entities meeting as one, making this trend popular amongst couples as they take a step closer to an everlasting commitment of love.

FIVE
Cluster Rings ~ Vintage Inspired

Cluster rings offer a unique, one-of-a-kind, vintage feel as well as various creative opportunities for couples when it comes to designing. This style of ring usually consists of a centre stone and an assortment of smaller stones in different cuts and sizes on either side. It can also be described as a beautiful variation and deconstruction of a classic halo design.
