Your wedding is a reflection of your PERSONALITY_F2R4224

Style your venue so that it truly reflects who you are as a couple.

Be inspired by all things décor, fashion, art, architecture, home furnishing as these will influence you on what you love and don’t love when thinking about how you want your wedding to look and feel.

Don’t worry about how lavish or over the top your vision is, the role of the stylist is to consolidate your ideas and think of creative ways to make what you think is impossible possible.

Without lighting, the mood is truly not set so if you are going to have divine florals, décor and furnishing, light these up.

When it comes to lighting “more is more” as I believe you can never have enough candlelight and in the room as it really does aid in creating a romantic look and feel.

The natural colours and aroma of fresh flowers excite the senses and will leave a positive impression for your guests. There are an abundance of colours, shapes and styles of flowers you can choose from so make sure you choose flowers that reflect your personalities.

Some couple will choose to get married around when their favourite flower is in season because when they are out of season they can be quite expensive.

Couples are being more risqué with the design and styles of flowers they choose for the reception and ceremony. Traditionally, the reception flowers have matched the ceremony flowers, however, I am finding that couples are wanting to distinguish between the two settings.

“If you look after the little things the big things will look after themselves”. From luxury linens, napkins, cutlery, glassware, charger plates, individualised menus, intricately folded napkins with napkin ring holders or a flower head placed on top are just a few examples of how a table setting can be enhanced. The details all add to the visual appeal of the space so it’s important to consider these elements when working with your stylist.

A stylists dream is to work in a room that is a blank canvas as it allows us to transform a room into any style without being limited due to the venues choice of venue furnishing and carpet._F8Q1022

When choosing a venue, make sure they give you enough time to bump in and set up for your event. Remember the more time your suppliers have the better the outcome.

Also, choose a venue that is accommodating to your cultural needs so steer away from venues that have strict sound restrictions governed by a sound monitor. If your dream is to have 10 drummers, a jazz band or 60 piece orchestra then choose venue that can accommodate for this.
